Posted on May 16, 2014 by Admin

Attractions week continues here at Great Little Breaks as we continue to list out attraction offers. We are very lucky here in the UK, with so many heritage sites, theme parks, stately home, gardens, and so much more on offer to us. You don't have to travel far for a great day out!

Our third attraction of the week is one for the animal lovers - can you guess what it is? Think animals, think exotic animals, and think lots of animals in one place.

Chester Zoo is a fantastic attraction in Cheshire which attracts millions of visitors per year. Opened as a zoo originally in 1931, Chester Zoo has grown to become one of the largest zoos in the UK.

The Zoo houses a large and diverse collection, with over 9000 animals of over 400 species. Chester Zoo is also home to many endangered species of animal, many of which are part of an active breeding programme to help the threatened species.

Major animal exhibits at Chester Zoo include Asian Elephants, Jaguars, Red Apes, and Rhinos. The zoo also includes a forest and butterfly zone, an aquarium, a tropical area, and a monorail to guide visitors through the park.

Enjoy this Great Little Break with accommodation at the charming Cranage Hall; an impressive Grade II listed building rich in history. Known as one of the North's finest hotels, Cranage Hall is situated within 20 acres of landscaped grounds, and surrounded by great facilities.

Cranage Hall offers guests comfortable bedrooms with a contemporary design, the Tempus restaurant which serves up a variety of dishes, and a range of leisure facilities, including a heated indoor swimming pool, steam room, sauna, and spa pool.

Not only does this package include two tickets to Chester Zoo, but you will also receive overnight accommodation, full English breakfast the following morning, and a bottle of wine upon arrival.
