Things to do at Edinburgh Christmas Market
Posted on October 26, 2016 by Sabina
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, especially in Edinburgh with just a few weeks to go until one of Scotland's best Christmas markets, we've found some of the best 'to do's' during the event!
24 Door Advent
Running from 1st - 24th December, this event allows us a peep into usually closed doors throughout the city. A real architectural treat and what do we love most about it? Well, the fact it is free of course!
Light Night - 20th November
Let there be light, literally. Edinburgh will light up with true festive spirit on 20th November, joined by performances from the Royal Scottish National Orchestra Junior Chorus and Edinburgh's Got Soul.
The Scottish Market
A showcase of the best food, drink and gorgeous crafts, and the best, local produce! Nothing like a bit of festive grub to get you in the mood for Christmas! Pick up some stocking fillers while you're there.
I'm pretty sure we have Disney's Frozen to thank for the rise in ice skating popularity, but we're willing to let it go & have tonnes of fun with all the family. A small cost applies, and don't forget to book in advance.. We don't want you to miss out!
Christmas Tree Maze
Lose yourself, not literally, in the Christmas Tree Maze, this is certainly a vibe to get you in the festive mood, you will most definitely leave feeling like Will Ferrell in Elf!
Now we know this all looks pretty exciting and a must this Christmas, right? But you need to combine this with somewhere great to stay... Oh look, that's where we come in!
Enjoy a stay at the Crown Plaza Edinburgh, exclusive to Great Little Breaks, and hey, there's even added afternoon tea... Yum!
