What Is An Awarded Restaurant?

Everyone loves to boast! What do we like boasting about the most? The best restaurant facilities at our partner hotels. Delicious dining is something that makes those little breaks the best, you hear us talking a lot about awarded restaurants, but what are they? Here's a little 'good to know' bit of information to give you an insight to awarded restaurants and then, well; we'll let you decide where your next little break takes you!

What are the Rosette Awards?

The AA’s Rosette awards were the first nationwide scheme for assessing the quality of food being served by restaurants and hotels, where the food in question is assessed on taste, presentation, quality and individuality. The scheme provides awards, not classification, and the awards range from one up to five, with five being the most you are able to achieve!

What makes a restaurant worthy?

The inspectors importantly focus on the food when assessing the restaurant. Presentation is still an important aspect of expressing the identity of the restaurant and should be appropriate to the style of food they are serving in line with the cost, however presentation cannot affect the Rosette assessment. Due to restaurant conditions increasingly improving, it becomes more difficult for restaurants to reach award level.
