Last Minute Valentines Gift Ideas

Posted on February 13, 2014 by Admin

It's getting to that time of year again- Valentine's Day is on its way. And with it rolls around the question- what do I buy?

With the stores stuffing their shelves with red and pink, cute cards, fluffy toys and chocolate boxes, there's just too much choice. It's a big lovey-dovey slap in the face. Surrounded by so much 'stuff', it's no wonder we're often stuck with gift ideas.

Don't panic- we're here to help. If you're sick of wondering the aisles, going from shelf to shelf and store to store without anything jumping out at you, then we've got some great little ideas!

Go with the personal gifts:

If you're completely and utterly stuck, nothing says 'I love you' more than something personal. Have a go at making a card yourself, or making a mixed CD or your loved one's favourite songs; even a little effort goes a long way.

Pictures say a thousand words:

Why not give that special someone your favourite photo in a beautiful frame, or order a personalised canvas. Create a permanent memory to hang for all to see.

Jewellery:

Always a safe one for the ladies. A beautiful necklace, bracelet, or pair of earrings will always be a crowd pleaser.

A drinks selection:

Popular with the gents, a tasting collection of beer or whisky can be just what he's looking for. If you already know his favourite, get in his good books with a well aged bottle.

Pamper basket:

Another great one for the girls. Collect all her favourite pamper products and surprise her with a back massage.

Name a star:

Something a little different, but a lovely gesture. Buy someone you love their own piece of space.

Chocolates:

Another crowd pleaser for men and women. Grab a box of your partner's favourite brand or selection and enjoy the taste sensation (especially if you love them too!)

Funny gifts:

Give that special someone a laugh on Valentine's Day. A self stirring mug, samurai kitchen knife set, chocolate pizza, or fuzzy pink slippers- all great little ideas.

A meal out:

Take your loved one out for a special night and spoil them.

A weekend away:

Your gift doesn't necessarily have to be a physical one; quality time together is a gift in itself.

It's not too late to grab those Valentine's gifts- not everyone is a forward thinker.
