Posted on August 02, 2016 by Sabina

The Rio 2016 Olympic games are fast approaching, and if you are half as excited as we all were for the London 2012 Olympics, you’re going to want to watch all the action in the best venues possible.

Canada Square Park, Canary Wharf

The Summer Screens will be up throughout August, broadcasting various programmes as well as live coverage of the games - so hang out and soak up the atmosphere from Brazil’s capital as the Games unfold. There is a huge variety of bars and restaurants available within the area should you be hungry.

Boxpark, Shoreditch

With an array of local food and drink amenities there are more than just deckchairs available for you to enjoy at this open air screen by Shoreditch High Street station as you watch the events unfold.

Regents Place

Enjoy the party atmosphere with a Brazilian-style opening carnival which is free to attend. As well as live coverage of the games throughout the month, there will be a series of sporting activities, including a “tough mudder” style ninja assault course, adult sports day, and mini golf tournament.

Paddington Central

You’re invited to relax in deck chairs to watch the world’s athletes go for gold at this giant open air screen. In keeping with the sporting theme, celebrations will have a strong focus on health and wellbeing; with breakfast and brunch offerings from Australian eatery Beany Green.

Beach East

Located in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park with over 2,200 sq m of sand, you can expect a Rio-themed celebration with plenty of entertainment for the entire family. In addition to the big screens available to watch all the live coverage of the games, there will be two beach bars, certain to keep you refreshed.
