The Highbullen Hotel, Golf & Country club

Retreat into the beautiful North Devon countryside and you will find comfort, luxury and some of the best views the county has to offer. The Highbullen Hotel is set within a 125 acre estate perfectly located between both the Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks. This intimate hotel is the ideal place for a quiet getaway and offer 37 charming rooms following a full refurbishment in 2013. The Manor House hosts 12 individually designed bedrooms with furnishing to match the uniqueness of each room, making you feel at home away-from home. The hotel also boasts a beautiful Suite which has its own sauna and steam room!

The hotel’s Estate Rooms are very modern and offer a truly comfortable stay, with Smart TVs and internet access in each bedroom. These rooms are in a variety of buildings around the estate, from the Courtyard Rooms which range from Standard to Superior, to the Forester’s Rest bedrooms which offer Superior Family rooms and even have room for dogs.

Dining at Highbullen includes fantastic views, delicious cuisine and excellent hospitality. The Devon View Restaurant is the hotel’s fine dining option, offering fantastic menus for all tastes. Using fresh produce and locally sourced ingredients, the team aim to make every dining experience a great one, from a family meal to private dining for two.

The Restaurant and Bar at the Highbullen Hotel, the Cellars, is a cosy area for guests to sit back and relax in a more informal setting whilst still enjoying the delicious food on offer. The Morning Room and the Drawing Room are also ideal areas to dine, perfect for enjoying the county’s most famous delicacies, a delicious cream tea.

As for leisure facilities, Highbullen has no shortage of them! The 18 hole, par 68 golf course is set within rich woodland parkland on the estate and is perfect for a round with friends or to practice your skills. Not only can guests try their hand at golf but the all-weather tennis courts are also perfect for an active afternoon. With both full size and half size courts and tennis coaching available; it’s the perfect opportunity for young and old alike to try out their skills.

The hotel also offers a heated indoor swimming pool, outdoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room Jacuzzi and well equipped gym. And to top it off, you can treat yourself to a number of relaxing spa treatments in the hotel’s leisure club, from deep tissue massages to classic facials.
