The Hallmark Hotel London Croydon Aerodrome was built in 1928 to serve the newly opened Croydon Airport. One of the world’s major international airports of the time, it is the place where famous aviatrix Amy Johnson set off on many flights including her record-breaking flight to Australia. It remains a place of historical significance and interest. Although Heathrow and Gatwick now overshadow Croydon Airport, this Hotel is busier than ever, with 110 bedrooms, a restaurant, bar, lounge, gardens and event spaces.
Croydon is a bustling centre for shopping and entertainment. Some of the UK’s best visitor attractions are within striking distance – such as The Tower of London and Chessington World of Adventures – London is just 15 minutes by train, and has easy access to the south east of England. If you’re planning a visit to or near Croydon in Surrey, then you’ve landed in the right place. The hotel has an excellent range of bedrooms, an informal brasserie-style restaurant, lovely gardens and on-site parking. After a day’s shopping in Croydon, or sightseeing in London come back to The Hallmark Hotel London Croydon Aerodrome and enjoy some luxury and comfort. Afternoon tea is served every day in the lounge. We also have light bites and à la carte menus with something for everyone.
