Customer Rating: Miss Delorme, London Hotel with a lot of potential but right now it looks a bit old and lacks charm. They had lots of receptions/Christmas parties during weekends. So I wouldn't recommend the hotel if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing weekend. The standard double beds are way too small, they look ridiculously tiny in these big rooms. The spa facilities are good, however, on Sunday they also have swimming lessons, with teachers shouting the instructions to the students. So not very quiet/relaxing again. We had dinner at the restaurant, nothing exceptional, just standard. Otherwise, customer service was good, people were really friendly.

Customer Rating: Mr Blackburne, connah's quay Highly recommend this hotel, staff were brilliant especially Samantha in the restaurant nothing was too much trouble. Food was exceptional - well presented and so much flavour. One of the best breaks we have had that's for sure.

Customer Rating: Mrs Blackburn, Stafford I picked 'Great Little Breaks' looking for a countryside, quiet, pleasant location for a relaxing weekend with parents. I thought the picture of the hotel and the nature of 'Great Little Breaks' website would give me this. Instead after arriving at the hotel we discovered the photograph of the lovely country manor building is not where you stay but in large modern buildings at the back and rather than a small country hotel which is what I wanted it is a large wedding and conference venue. This meant that in the evenings there was nowhere for independent visitors to sit as all lounge areas were full of rowdy wedding guests. This should not be on your website in the category of quiet country Hotels and the photographs are totally misleading. It should be more obvious that this is a large busy wedding/conference venue not a Hotel suitable for weekend breaks.

Customer Rating: Mrs Hewitt, Preston Very pleasant hotel in gorgeous surroundings. Staff were all very pleasant and efficient, especially our waitress at dinner. Food was delicious and a good choice was provided- my husband is not an easy man to cater for, being very conservative in his taste. Thank you for changing the black pudding mash for chips without any quibble. :)
