Customer Rating: Mrs Perrett, Clevedon Cannot fault the hotel.

Customer Rating: Mrs Wood, Harrogate We thought the whole break was excellent value for money and the Severn Valley Railway was wonderful. On the whole the hotel was great - friendly staff, lovely room, great public facilities and the grounds are beautiful and well cared for. The only thing we found let it down was the service at dinner. We booked for 8.00 p.m. but didn't get anything to eat until 8.45. Although couldn't fault the food when it did come. Breakfast the first morning was cooked to order with a great range of choices (and a good continental selection). However on the second morning there was just a very standard hot buffet. Very disappointing. For what we were paying we could not complain, but anyone paying the full price it was not good

Customer Rating: Mr Day, Newton Abbot Excellent stay throughout apart from dinner service on the second night which was very disappointing. We had tried to book a table for 7.30 but were advised that the earliest would be 8pm. Unfortunately due to overbooking in the restaurant we did not get a table until almost 9pm and did not get our starter until 9.20. Our main meal arrived at 9.40 pm. We ordered an additional glass of wine which did not arrive until after we had finished our meal which we then refused as we were too tired to continue. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel but this put a dampener on the stay.

Customer Rating: Mrs Pearsall, Llanon All great. Only suggestion is to ensure clients have tickets to shows at the station as we had to explain what we had brought by letter as we did not receive tickets or voucher.
