Customer Rating: Mr Fox, Street

Customer Rating: Mr Dobson, Oxford On arrival at about 1430 we booked dinner for 1900 (at the Carlton - the Eastcliff restarurant being closed) having been told that earlier was not possible. At around 1800 the hotel rang to say we now could not eat before 1930, so we agreed to eat in the Eastcliff bar as eating later presents problems for us. The main course in the bar was fine but the dessert menu (muffins etc) was not what one would get in a proper restaurant. As we were under our allowance, we ordered coffee but were charged for this. One window stay in the room was inoperative.

Customer Rating: Mr Harbour, Plymouth Hotel is tired looking and rooms need updating. The bathroom needed modernising and curtains wouldn't close properly. Inclusive evening meal was in a sister hotel. Staff did not have our details and tried not to give us are bottle of wine which was inclusive with meal. Also this was our anniversary so I ordered a bottle of champagne for when we arrived with flowers for my wife. I checked with staff at reception that this had been done only to find the champagne had not been put in the room, surprise for my wife was dampened. Not happy and would not recommend this hotel.

Customer Rating: Mr Walker, Devizes

Customer Rating: Mr Pursey, Bradford-on-avon The Staff were lovely but the hotel is nowhere near 4 stars. The bedroom was small, but that was not an issue. However the shower must have come out of the ark and was very hard to operate. I have never encountered such uncomfortable furniture as we found in the hotel lounge and the food can only be described as mediocre. On the plus side the place served decent wine!
