Customer Rating: Mrs Storey-Day, Studley This is a fabulous hotel with residents housed in the old parts of the hotel which used to be a school for the blind and other residents housed in newer rooms that are attached on to the old main building. The hotels furnishings are of a high standard and well maintained in wooden panelled rooms with the whole hotel complex housed in quite well maintained gardens. Our only negative comment is the fixed restaurant menu that has adequate choices but the majority of dishes attract price supplements some quite substantial a steak attracts a supplement of £9.95

Customer Rating: Mr Hallas, Northampton Beautiful hotel, set in lovely grounds, with good facilities. The only downside for us was that we thought the included dinner menu was a little unimaginative, but as the meal and a glass of wine were included, we were happy enough. Staff at the hotel were very helpful and it was great to be able to sit out in the sun, with a glass of wine, enjoying the view. Our room was clean, spacious and very pleasant. We would certainly go again, that's for sure, as the Shropshire hills around Church Stretton provide excellent walking opportunities and Shrewsbury is a real gem!

Customer Rating: Mr Davies, Carmarthen This was out first stay and we will be returning soon.

Customer Rating: Mr Page, Willenhall We would stay at the hotel again because of its excellent location and it is comfortable. However, we did not enjoy our stay here as much as we have done on previous occasions. I will say that members of staff we dealt with were far more approachable and pleasant, than the receptionist. We stayed on half board whilst the breakfast is of a good standard and the service is excellent. We were underwhelmed by the evening meal, the quality has definitely gone down and there are far too many supplements on the menu

Customer Rating: Mrs Sibley, Weston-super-mare

Customer Rating: Mrs Boulter, Loughborough Breakfast was wonderful, everything you could want. The first evening meal was good. However, the second evening meal was exactly the same menu, somewhat restrictive and with 30% of the choices having additional charges. Our room in the Lakeside wing was clean, modern and spacious, with the biggest bed we have had in a long while. However, the pillows were quite hard. We were told in advance that the jacuzzi would not be working but the warm pool and multiple saunas were very good. Nice to relax in after a busy day sightseeing. All-in-all, a very nice break in the lovely town of Shrewsbury. If you stay there do visit the Hawkstone Park Follies! But you need to be fit and wear good walking shoes.

Customer Rating: Mrs Smith, Northampton Lovely stay
