Customer Rating: Mr Burcher, Birmingham

Customer Rating: Mr Coveney, Market Harborough Both our evening meals were excellent in presentation and flavours. Everything was excellent except the service at breakfast, we felt rushed.

Customer Rating: Mr Wilson, Cheltenham Overall we enjoyed our stay and found the Staff efficient and pleasant. However, it is only fair to mention some things that I did not like. The scones at teatime appeared to be reheated frozen. The bedside lamps were so low down that the light did not illuminate books held by the reader in bed. Although the side of the bath was high, there was no rail on the wall in the bath area to help with entering and leaving the bath. This would have also been helpful to use when standing for a shower. I did not like £50 being put onto my Credit card on arrival without some sort of explanation (I do realise that this is done in some hotel groups). It was careless to be charged for the hotel break on leaving when I had pre-paid the bill in advance. I'm glad that I noticed in time before my Credit card was debited.

Customer Rating: Mr Fosbraey, Salisbury We booked a B&B weekend break and added evening meal, described as a gourmet meal option. When dining, the menu offered marketplace and seasonal menus. Inclusive terms covered the marketplace menu but mix and match between the two menus was offered at additional cost. The dining staff were unable to confirm where our gourmet offer fell. It was only on leaving that the bill confirmed that the gourmet option covered both menus. We were fortunate to be upgraded at no extra cost to a superior room. The hotel took full note of our special requirements (gluten free, soya milk) and the little touch of an anniversary card from the staff. Really felt pampered!

Customer Rating: Mr Nuttall, Warrington

Customer Rating: Mrs Esenbell, Potters Bar Nothing to say, all was lovely.

Customer Rating: Mrs Martin, Bromsgrove Great opportunity to stay on our first wedding anniversary. It was where we had our wedding reception. Excellent hotel, excellent staff, excellent food.

Customer Rating: Rev Vaughan, Basingstoke This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at in the UK. The service was excellent from start to finish- as we checked out, the offer of a cold bottle of water to take for our journey was particularly impressive. The food was superb and the surroundings beautiful!

Customer Rating: Mrs Cooper, Leicester Superb hotel, excellent service, fantastic food, lovely room. Made to feel special by staff who noted our wedding anniversary.
