Customer Rating: Mrs Higham, Southport

Customer Rating: Mrs Pegler, Blandford Forum Really good value for money.... delightful settings, friendly staff. Dinner was exceptionally delicious... our compliments to the chef and waiters very attentive. We would certainly return and stay some extra nights to explore the area. The furniture in the room was a little sad needs to be a better quality to match the beautiful building. But overall we would definitely recommend staying.

Customer Rating: Mr Cartledge, Nottingham Excellent hotel steeped in history. However for the price the menu - same meals for all 3 nights - was disappointing due to no variety on each night of a fairly restricted menu. Room was excellent but no mini bar and no hotel safe was surprising. The bar was quite small and the drinks menu restricted. The quality of the food however was excellent. Overall due to the age and association with Shakespeare a great experience.

Customer Rating: Mr chester, Market Rasen Lovely hotel, great service, highly recommended

Customer Rating: Mrs Griffin, Penzance Bar prices were too expensive, if we wanted spa treatments these were all extra full prices and not discounted.

Customer Rating: Mr Ashcroft, Wirral Excellent staff

Customer Rating: Mrs Thompson, Stockport The only problem we had were that there were several dead wasps on the bedroom floor which should have been cleaned up when they serviced the room before we checked in.

Customer Rating: Mrs Walker, Sale The only negatives are that there isn't a lift and it was difficult to get our case up the spiral staircase to the first floor, and there was no-one on hand to help. Also the cooked food was uncovered at the breakfast buffet. Otherwise we were very happy and our very large, comfortable room had a lovely view of the topiary garden. Dinner was very good.

Customer Rating: Mr Threlfall, Marlow

Customer Rating: Mr martin, Newark Room twenty very dark due to veranda outside with wisteria over could not read a newspaper in the room, otherwise great venue
