based on 10 reviews.
Customer Rating: Mrs Sewell, Chelmsford Shame the hotel did not contact me about flowers in the room as requested but I ordered them myself and they were there on arrival. Meals were excellent and grounds very impressive. Rooms a little tired with mismatched furniture - some older than others but very comfortable and clean.

Customer Rating: Mr Watson, Canvey Island Service at times was poor, staff young and inexperienced, but tried to do their best. Bar overcrowded with wedding party guests, difficult to order a drink, nowhere to sit. We were probably unlucky but had a wedding on both nights of our stay.

Customer Rating: Mr Hughes., Dudley Hotel is externally impressive with fantastic garden and views towards golf course. Lovely evening meal in the library, food was of a high standard.Although giving you a real sense of previous grandeur there were areas, like in most old mansion type hotels, that were a little dated and could do with a refurbish. Breakfast a little disappointing in terms of selection of items. Suite was large with impressive stand alone bath and large shower. Again a little disappointing in the views in that the windows were so high you needed to stand on a chair to see some wonderful views! Overall thought the stay was good value for money.

Customer Rating: Mrs duncan, liverpool Fabulous hotel and setting - but service extremely poor. Very young inexperienced staff who had had no training and were clueless about what to do - they were pleasant though. Cream tea was advertised on arrival - we waited 45 minutes for 1 scone with some jam and cream. Lunch on the second day - we waited 40 minutes for soup and sandwich - the soup was stone cold - sent back then only arrived luke warm. The hotel is being `wasted `by the inefficient staff. I would go there again because I like the place and hopefully things will improve.

Customer Rating: Mrs Pinnington, Nailsworth There were 2 weddings at the hotel during our break and the staff concentrated on servicing these functions. We waited over 45 minutes for any food we ordered, both in the bar and restaurant. On the 2nd evening we were relegated to the breakfast room for our eveing meal, which was not a very pleasant room. We definitely felt like 2nd class guests.

Customer Rating: Mr Handley, Crewe A grand looking hotel and grounds, great food and excellent service from the happiest waiters and waitresses I've ever come across. In fact all the staff are extra helpful and answer every request with a smile. Our room was magnificent, our bathroom gigantic, this was a great place to celebrate my wife's birthday.

Customer Rating: Mr Walton, Crewe Having seen some reviews on TripAdvisor we were forewarned as what to expect. The rooms were not as bad as we feared and the food was very acceptable. The young staff did their best and were friendly. However, it is the management team who let the side down. That is, if there is a management team. Even though the hotel seemed short staffed, a senior member should have been supervising and making sure little niggles were ironed out.

Customer Rating: Ms Robinson, Ipswich Should be a price for single occupancy

Customer Rating: Mrs miller-holliday, Wakefield

Customer Rating: Mr Tavener, York The all inclusive deal is great, but the details of it, regarding drinks, do not seem to be conveyed clearly to all staff. Also the included beer and wine offer is discriminatory against retailers.
