Overall Rating 4.25870646766169
based on 10 reviews.
Customer Rating: Mrs Whitehouse, Wolverhampton We would have liked to have had a different restaurant menu each day to choose from. Having said that the food we chose was very good. Breakfast was excellent and we never needed to try cooked food as the choice was so varied. We would definitely use the Rose and Crown again.

Customer Rating: Mrs Dalling, Clacton-on-sea Fantastic location, just a ten minute walk to the cathedral and town. Plenty to do in the area. The hotel has a wonderful setting next to the River Avon. All meals are set in a very large conservatory, next to the river. Food was plentiful, great choices and delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Customer Rating: Mr Tate, Gravesend The dinner menu was rather limited and did not change. The hotel setting and proximity to Salisbury was excellent.

Customer Rating: Mrs Done, Barnstaple, Devon The staff and service was, as always, excellent. The food was delicious with a good choice. We have already booked to return in October.

Customer Rating: Mr Hanson, Boston Our first visit to Salisbury and we couldn't have stayed at a nicer venue. A period hotel situated on the banks of the river Avon a perfect location for a drink or to eat. All staff were friendly and extremely helpful and a lovely restaurant that also overlooked the Avon. The hotel is situated a short walk from the medieval city centre which houses numerous sights which must be explored. We were so impressed by our stay that we have booked a further 2 night stay next March. Included in our package was entrance to the Stonehenge exhibition and site, again not to be missed.

Customer Rating: Mrs Hockley, Langport The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The food in the hotel was good value, lovely and hot and tasty. The bedroom was a good size and very comfortable, also had separate tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel is only a 10-15 minute walk away from the centre of Salisbury, so easy to walk to the various eating places, pubs or shops if required. The trip to Stonehenge was simple enough and as the weather was so good, we did the walk to and from the stones. We spent a few pleasurable hours at Stonehenge, the museum and the shop, so all in all we had a lovely couple of days away for a very reasonable price. We would definitely do that sort of trip again.

Customer Rating: Mrs Clark, Bedford Stunning position right on the river is excellent. - such pretty views and close to the Cathedral. Also close to the town and all amenities, restaurants, etc - walking distance, although there is a bus service which stops outside. Our room was in the oldest part of the building with original features and was fantastic. We could not fault our two night stay from start to finish. Room was lovely with good quality linen, coffee maker and a well stocked tea tray with biscuits hot chocolate and the bathroom stocked with a good range of toiletries. The restaurant food was excellent and plentiful both for dinner in the evening and breakfast. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful and we could not have asked for more.

Customer Rating: Mr Oldfield, Spalding We had a very nice 2 nights away in Salisbury, the hotel was ideally located and our room was very interesting being part of the original 14th century building. The dinner on the first night was excellent as was the breakfast. We went to Stonehenge with the tickets that were include and all went smoothly. We would definitely recommend great little breaks and we will be booking again with them. The only thing wrong with our room was the tv remote didn't work.

Customer Rating: Mr Reyne, Alton Excellent hotel - we have been there twice now and will go again.

Customer Rating: Mr Jones, Kidderminster Great location, all the staff we encountered were first class, the food was OK but not fantastic.
