Customer Rating: Mr Riddick, Barry Scores would have been excellent if a member of staff had not opened our door at 01.30 am to let a drunk wedding guest in! In fairness hotel is completely apologetic about the incident and has apologised and offered a free room in the future as compensation so it could be full marks when we take the offer up.

Customer Rating: Mrs Edwards, Stratford-upon-avon We didn't get the best room, I guess that's to be expected when you get a good price. We still had an enjoyable trip and the rest of the hotel was lovely

Customer Rating: Mr gibson, Huddersfield Lovely hotel, huge room only minus was that the room was very dark due to small windows, which caused the room to be very warm. The hotel grounds are beautiful just be aware you can get bitten by the midges. The food was really good and well presented. The spa looked great although didn't have time to use it. Good location for Shrewsbury. Great value for money would recommend whole package

Customer Rating: Mrs willis, Barnstaple There is only one thing that let the place down, the limited choice of food on the main part of the menu, especially as the menu does not change day to day. Fine if you are staying for a day or two, but unacceptable if you are staying longer. Perhaps 4 or 5 meat dishes, 2 fish dishes, and some to suit vegetarians.

Customer Rating: Mr Roots, Fareham Bit confusing on the meal charges. On our break we were informed we had the 3 course, £30, option. One night I selected a chefs special that incurred a £2.50 surcharge, this I was billed for separately,. Apart from this minor confusion I could not fault the hotel, staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful at all times. The spa was very impressive especially the thermal suite. I would recommend, and happily return for another stay.

Customer Rating: Mr Reece, Warrington Upgraded room free of charge..

Customer Rating: Mrs Copley, Swadlincote Great deal I would certainly stay again!

Customer Rating: Mr Dolby, Wells Excellent value for money.

Customer Rating: Mr Pearson, Flint Room wasn't ready on arrival. Room wasn't cleaned next day, no towels, bed made or bins emptied. Weddings on both days we were there with a loud disco until late. Unable to book dinner at the times we wanted

Customer Rating: Mrs Storey-Day, Studley This is a fabulous hotel with residents housed in the old parts of the hotel which used to be a school for the blind and other residents housed in newer rooms that are attached on to the old main building. The hotels furnishings are of a high standard and well maintained in wooden panelled rooms with the whole hotel complex housed in quite well maintained gardens. Our only negative comment is the fixed restaurant menu that has adequate choices but the majority of dishes attract price supplements some quite substantial a steak attracts a supplement of £9.95
