Customer Rating: Miss Palmer, Pontefract Staff were lovely, looked after us and were really helpful. Breakfast was really good and the room was fine. We were situated on the beach and it was a nice walk into town and the beach - and in the evening, the reception staff booked a taxi for us and it was there within minutes - great service!

Customer Rating: Mr Owens, Llanelli Small but clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff. First night included evening meal was OK. Second night meal at the hotel pub was not, ordered steak and Ale pie but chicken and mushroom was served with cold peas and cold gravy. Staff very apologetic and changed our plates but took a long time. Shame as it was our anniversary. Breakfast good with pleasant staff and tables cleared and reset quickly.

Customer Rating: Mr Taylor, Thames Ditton The hotel was advertised with sea views but this is misleading - the hotel has sea views but the room on offer did not. The room had tea and coffee making facilities but no biscuits, no tissues, no hotel information, no spare pillows and no spare blanket. There was no fresh fruit available in the hotel, not even at breakfast (which otherwise was good) and there were no newspapers in the lounge. The hotel was well staffed and they were very helpful. The hotel only has one small lift which is insufficient for a hotel this size.

Customer Rating: Mr Knott, Salisbury Hotel was ok for the price paid but the food left a lot to be desired. Also, I was charged £21 to have a box of chocolates put in the room which on checking Thorntons website I found to cost £7, so very disappointed in that. On a positive note they had left a plate with two small cakes and a birthday card from the hotel.

Customer Rating: Mrs Edney, Northampton Really kind staff .helpful ,thoughtful and polite.

Customer Rating: Ms Worley, Waterlooville

Customer Rating: Mr Gregory, Ascot The review looks negative. The room had a wall 90cms from the window. I think they could have allocated a better room. We are not asking for an upgrade just a room were you can see out of the window! The restaurant was excellent on the first night but not so good on the second. I think we would stay at the hotel again provided we new the room before we arrived

Customer Rating: Mrs Scott, Coventry The hotel advertised a drinks happy hour between 4 pm and 7 pm, but there was not sufficient bar staff to cope with this offer and there were long queues at the bar at times. The restaurant staff were extremely pleasant, very efficient and worked hard to serve diners quickly.

Customer Rating: Mr Drinkhill, Redditch Had a lovely break, hotel was very friendly, lovely atmosphere, staff very friendly and extremely helpful, happy hour was an added bonus..only criticism was the towels are extremely small thank goodness we took a couple of our own to get dry.

Customer Rating: Mr Munro, Bordon
