Severn Valley Railway

Our partnership

Our partnership with the Severn Valley Railway Charitable trust allows us to support our local heritage as well as being able to promote this unique attraction within our breaks and extend exclusive events to our customers and suppliers. The railway is a true ambassador to the glorious golden age of travel, staying true to its routes and celebrating this throughout the stations and visitor experiences along the 16 mile line.

SVR Railway Charitable trust

Thanks to its 1,700 volunteers, the Severn Valley Railway transports visitors and enthusiasts back to the magic age of steam travel. Income from ticket sales, catering and retail outlets covers the line’s day-to-day operation, but the costs don’t stop there. It’s vital that the Railway raises substantial, additional funds to maintain its infrastructure and rolling stock.

Bridges, viaducts, tunnels, track and buildings all need to be kept in good order, not to mention the locomotives and carriages. And this is where the SVR Charitable Trust comes in. If you choose to support the Railway financially through the Charitable Trust, please call 01562 757940 or visit svrtrust.org.uk .

One of the most charming journeys in the UK

Having celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2015, the Severn Valley Railway welcomes more than 250,000 visitors per year, and is among the UK’s most popular and much-loved historical attractions. Run largely by volunteers, the full-size, standard-gauge railway line runs regular steam-hauled passenger trains along a scenic 16-mile route between Worcestershire and Shropshire for visitors and enthusiasts alike to enjoy.
