Customer Rating: Mrs Cox, Shrewsbury Would have been very useful to have drawer space for clothes. One small drawer and no shelf in wardrobe let the room down. Otherwise a very good room and hotel, with an excellent breakfast and helpful and friendly staff.

Customer Rating: Langfield, Sutton Coldfield Fantastic picnic lunch with wine included in deal.

Customer Rating: Mrs Steed, Betchworth We loved this historic building in a peaceful setting near the sea shore. The current owners are in the process of refurbishing, so some parts have yet to receive attention. Our bedroom was well decorated with a great view across the Mersey towards Liverpool but there was a strange pungent smell, especially in the bathroom. The staff are what makes this hotel so special. Smiling, welcoming, always ready with a greeting, they seem to have all the time in the world to attend to you. I've left some belongings behind and they have even phoned me to let me know they have them. Excellent location. If you want to visit Liverpool get one of the frequent trains from nearby Leasowe Station directly into the city centre.

Customer Rating: Mr Brown, York The helpfulness and pleasantness of staff in the restaurants- particularly at breakfast - was really special.

Customer Rating: Mrs Crossley, Leyland Lovely setting, great staff, fantastic breakfast. It's a wedding venue close to Liverpool, Birkenhead etc so beware at weekends. Strange smell of sewage at odd times of the day and night.

Customer Rating: Mr Cunningham, Birmingham The hotel staff were all very professional and helpful from check in to check out. The restaurant staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make you feel at home. All staff made you feel very welcome at all times of the day or night. The room we were in was very clean and well maintained, and included tea/coffee, an ironing board with iron and a hairdryer. The bathroom was very spacious and included both a full size bath and shower setup. We will definitely be going back in the future.

Customer Rating: Mrs Brindley, Sheffield

Customer Rating: Mrs LAWSON, TELFORD SHROPSHIRE Fantastic hotel, beautiful setting with lovely sea views, beach on your doorstep. Service from start to finish was 5 star, so polite, friendly, professional... they could not do enough for us - I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, one of the best I have ever stayed in...beautiful rooms, luxurious bathrooms, loved the deep bath. Could not fault this hotel -- even had a beautiful chapel. The food was delicious - breakfast and dinner - the brasserie is lovely
