Customer Reviews
Overall Rating 4.44303797468354
based on 10 reviews.
Customer Rating: Mr Cartledge, Nottingham Excellent hotel steeped in history. However for the price the menu - same meals for all 3 nights - was disappointing due to no variety on each night of a fairly restricted menu. Room was excellent but no mini bar and no hotel safe was surprising. The bar was quite small and the drinks menu restricted. The quality of the food however was excellent. Overall due to the age and association with Shakespeare a great experience.

Customer Rating: Mr chester, Market Rasen Lovely hotel, great service, highly recommended

Customer Rating: Mr Threlfall, Marlow

Customer Rating: Mr martin, Newark Room twenty very dark due to veranda outside with wisteria over could not read a newspaper in the room, otherwise great venue

Customer Rating: Mrs Birchall, Chorley

Customer Rating: Mr Peacock, Maidenhead

Customer Rating: Mr Hughes, Tamworth

Customer Rating: Mr Murray, Barton upon Humber The hotel and grounds were very good and not far out of Stratford. One thing I found very interesting was the Manor Church. Looking round and seeing how things were done many years ago was interesting including the small area where the lord of the manor sat beside a fire that had been lite on cold days to keep him warm.

Customer Rating: Mr Grafton, Sevenoaks The hotel is a lovely place in a beautiful location, with excellent facilities. It is very old and has character, so we didn't worry about a few instances where more modern fittings would have been good. The service was excellent throughout our stay.

Customer Rating: Mr Steele, Nottingham As I have said before, these hotels are fabulous locations and facilities for a break but unless you push for a decent room they would give you a room at the back of beyond. This time I asked for a ground floor room because my wife can't cope with stairs or rooms that are too hot, and they gave us a brilliant room, big and handy for all facilities. The food at this hotel was not very good which is quite unusual on these sort of breaks!
