Customer Rating: Mrs Fraser, SOMERTON

Customer Rating: Mrs Chilver, Colchester Seemed very short staffed. Staff friendly but rushing around. Room was good size for money/deal and nice view but very tired (chipped paint, unfinished painting after works, missing/grubby tile grout and loose window sill). Terrible continental breakfast on 1st day but much better the 2nd day. Great hotel location but could be so much better run.

Customer Rating: Mr Pearce-Jervis, Alsager The area wasn't really suitable for us

Customer Rating: Mrs HARDING, Poulton-le-Fylde A lovely old manor house in an idyllic surrounding. Our room No 3 was in the old part overlooking the garden which was lovely. I don't think it would have been half as nice if we had been in the newer extension though. The staff were all friendly and the food was excellent.

Customer Rating: Mr Hill, Bristol We all enjoyed the break but it was upsetting that at check-in, 2 of our party of 4, were not recognised on the list at the hotel. During a drink in the bar we were told that everything was sorted.

Customer Rating: Mrs Groves, Burton-on-Trent We enjoyed our stay. The accommodation and food were good and the hotel is in a lovely setting by the canal and far enough away from the road for there to be no noise. My only small gripe was that my bedside light had a loose wire and would not stay on. I mentioned it to the receptionist at the beginning of the day but it was not fixed during the day. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Customer Rating: Mr Jones, Pontypool

Customer Rating: Mrs Palfrey, Cardiff The room we were allocated (42) was a long way from reception and due to a large tree outside the window was very dark so we had to have the light on whenever we were in the room. Also the bed was not that comfortable, I would suggest the mattress needs to be changed. Otherwise the room was very pleasant and the bathroom was lovely. You have the choice of receiving a "free" drink if you choose to not have your room serviced the next day which we thought was very good idea and took advantage of it. Overall, we had a lovely stay, the hotel gardens are lovely and lead on to the canal for a nice walk on the flat.

Customer Rating: Mrs Howes, Stoke-on-Trent The reason why I would not stay again is due to a very restricted menus and I felt the food was overpriced

Customer Rating: Mr Broyden, Ashford Room not good, poor ventilation due to old windows with very limited opening. Restaurant food and service excellent at dinner, breakfast good food but service lacking due to shortage of staff.
