Customer Rating: Mrs McCreadie, Southampton Love staying in The Mount Somerset, it's a hidden gem (this is the third visit). The grounds are very well kept and so peaceful despite being fairly close to a main road and M5. As soon as you arrive there is a warm friendly welcome. The bedrooms are all different, well furnished, comfy beds, great bathrooms, very clean and well equipped. The garden rooms are modern and quiet. The public areas are spacious and comfortable. The food is amazing with a good choice. The staff are very attentive. There is a good selection at breakfast and cooked to perfection! All the staff are very professional, friendly and can not do enough for you.

Customer Rating: Mrs Fairbrother, Salisbury The Sunday dinner was not we felt a three rosette standard. My main course did not have the correct vegetables, the venison was pink but was totally over powered by very strong flavoured lumps of beetroot. My husband's fish was beautifully cooked, but his dessert chocolate tart was minuscule, as it was canape size. We think the picnic lunch was very good, as were the egg & cress sandwiches served in the lounge. Our room was lovely. There were, however, no tissues till I asked, nor ground coffee till our room was serviced. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

Customer Rating: Mrs Choy-Warry, London Hotel staff were very good, friendly courteous service. Food very well presented with good flavours. Hotel building is very old but could still do with some improvements. Lights in the room did not all work due to old wiring. Room was stuffy & difficult to ventilate as frames old, painted shut! Definitely need to replace the lift. I got stuck in the cellar! Cant manage all the stairs even though the staircase was architecturally very impressive. Better attention to housekeeping required- cleaning off the mould in the shower & bath mat.
