Customer Rating: Mr Wynne, Newton Abbot

Customer Rating: Mrs Lindsay, Tamworth

Customer Rating: Mr Humphrey, Caterham Unfortunately the boiler broke down which resulted in no heating and hot water during our stay. The hotel tried to sort this out but it was out of their control. They offered us a change of room on the second night but we deemed it might be too much trouble as the room was on the second floor which would prove accessibility problems especially for just one nightlife.

Customer Rating: Mr Hilton, Longfield

Customer Rating: Mrs McKay, Whiteleaf Quality and quantity of food were excellent but there was a standard menu with limited choices and no daily specials. It was fine for a couple of days but not for a longer stay. At times service was rather slow.

Customer Rating: Mrs Parsons, GLOUCESTER We were upgraded on arrival to a room overlooking the river, it was much better than expected, the food, staff and facilities were excellent.

Customer Rating: Mrs Disbrey, Dover We were lucky and allocated a large room with a four poster bed. Our friends travelling with us were allocated a much smaller room in need of some repairs. As we were all on the same break, we had a better deal.

Customer Rating: Mr Evans, Harrogate When we arrived we had been upgraded to a Junior Suite. A lovely surprise. Hotel nicely situated to visit The Cathedral.

Customer Rating: Mrs Horton, Oldbury

Customer Rating: Mr Board, Christchurch Initial impression at reception was very good and we were pleased to receive an upgrade without asking and no charge. The room was excellent, clean, comfortable, well-maintained and very good value from GLB. The river-side location is ideal for a relaxed stay and easy stroll into Salisbury for the Cathedral etc. Unfortunately, the restaurant let the hotel down. The evening meal was passable but certainly not 4*. The wine price was inflated by 350% for an ordinary Sauvignon Blanc. The service was very poor and we had to chase up every part of the meal. Breakfast on day 1 was buffet style with the cooked food very tired. Breakfast on day 2, cooked to order and only partly edible. Such a shame for what was otherwise a perfect break.
