Poole - spectacular views

The ancient port of Poole in Dorset, is a friendly, easy-going town that provides you with the perfect opportunity to explore Brownsea Island, the largest island in Poole Harbour.

Owned by the National Trust, the island can be visited most of the year and once ashore visitor can admire spectacular views across to Studland, Old Harry Rocks and the Purbeck Hills. Spring is a wonderful time to discover the islands walking trails where you can wander through unique habitats and spot a variety of wildlife on the island from red squirrels to the coming and going of a huge variety of birds in the lagoon.

Back in Poole, we recommend heading to Sandbanks Beach, winner of the prestigious Blue Flag Award for a consecutive 31 years. Make the most of its soft golden sands and breath-taking views of the ocean.
